Rugby

Rugby

Rugby! What a sport. Total rough and tumble etc. Except we just played touch rugby so we were inside. I can't describe the relief I felt when I heard that. However, I'm still not much of an athlete so I wasn't very good. It was good fun though and for anyone who's interested in playing rugby it's on after school on a Tuesday :)

Hockey

Hockey

I know the question that everyone is dying to ask... How on Earth can me and Katie do all the things on the list? Truth be told, we can't. We did go but it's fair to say neither of us are good at hockey. So we just passed the ball between us while the serious players did their thing. However, for anyone who is capable of hitting a ball with a stick, hockey runs after school on a Monday. Go along and have fun :)

Vocal Group

Senior Vocal Group

How exciting! Songs! Who doesn't like them? I go anyway (in spite of my innate inability to sing) and Katie came for a one off (although she didn't know the words so she just sort of hummed).
Vocal group is a great way to get involved in singing at the school (plus if you're committed you get out of class for rehearsals at end of term concerts). Senior group is only for S5-6 and staff on a Friday lunchtime but for S1-4 there is also a Junior Vocal Group at another time during the week. Check the music dept for details :)

Pantomime

Panto!

Me and Katie had a right laugh with the Panto folks! It's definitely worth checking out Snow White! From what we saw it's set to be ace! Whilst we didn't have much to do personally, we got a taster of what promises to be an ace panto so get your tickets from the support centre while they're still available!

Lunch Club :)

Lunch Club

This is a great place for anyone who doesn't have anything to do at lunch time! It's great for playing games, organised activities or just having a chat. Anyone's welcome at 1.10 every lunchtime! Me and Katie had a well good laugh playing connect 4 and having chats with the support staff!

Orchestra

Orchestra

Playing the triangle is surprisingly complicated! Who'd have thought? I also had a good go at the xylophone thingie. Had an ace time!

Chess Club

Chess Club 26/11/09

Being completely ignorant to the inner workings of chess, I was actually rubbish. Katie seemed to have some sort of vague knowledge and managed to do something right and actually took a few of her competitors pieces. I, on the other hand, am not suited to holding several different things in my head at once. If all I had to focus on was one piece at a time I'd have been fine but that's not how chess goes and so I was bum to say the least. I did learn what castling was though! Well done me. The Chess Club is at lunchtimes on Thursdays in Mr Emery's room in the maths department. Go along if you want to hone your chess skills and have some good fun!

Andrew

P.S. You may notice a few blogs are missing. Katie had a few technical issues but we'll get them sorted as soon as!
Welcome to Andrew and Katie Go Clubbin - where Andrew and Katie have until the end of term to take part in as many of the school's clubs as they can in order to raise money for Children In Need.
